I started writing this last year in July or so and took some time to write as I was only writing on Sundays as I had the time to actually sit down and immerse myself in the characters and to have the time to write page upon page without interruption.
I have no idea where the idea for it came from, my muse, or whoever the hell she is came up with this idea in a dream a few years back. If I had billions of dollars I could retire to a tropical island and have men flown in for my pleasure only. I certainly never thought at the time I'd turn it into a book. But then I was a year or so behind writing and needed something, and this kept popping up in my head.
So, it was written.
Along with two non-fiction e-books which I have already released this year. Dream It, Write It, Publish It! An Australian Guide to all the hard parts no one tells you about Self-Publishing released back in March, and Why Positivity Can Be a Bad Thing! just two weeks ago on May 21st, my birthday. Both are available through Amazon and Smashwords. They will both be in paperback by the end of the year.
The e-books took about six months each, the novel roughly a year. By the time I wrote it, edited, had it assessed and now formatted and a cover done for Createspace it's almost a year. I knew I needed that time to get it all done and had set the date for launching as May 1st. But I knew that the 21st would be the end date so it gave me leeway. Now it was pushed back to the 31st (yes, it went live on Saturday but today's the official launch day as it gives Kindle some time to get it uploaded and me some time to put it up everywhere else) that still gave me the time to get it done. The paperback from CreateSpace will come in a couple of weeks.
And it is. Here's the book's blurb.
What do you get when you mix a warm tropical island, fifty gorgeously naked men and one seriously horny woman full of seriously bad issues together?
A reclusive Russian billionaire lives on her tropical island playground full of debauched sex and wild animalistic instinct. She’s happy where she is, doing what she’s doing, but her world is threatened by the one man who aims to destroy it all. Aims to destroy the one thing she holds dear and refuses to let go of.
Alex Carson is her assistant, manager of the island and keeper of all her secrets. She doesn’t like the sickly job of choosing men on a monthly basis for her mistress’ sex games and wants to leave the island and that way of life, but knows it will only happen when the most deadly of all secrets is revealed to those involved.
Chris Cameron is the hot hunky actor and, although he doesn’t know it, the only man who holds the key to that secret. Lured to the island under false pretences he fights his way back from the depths of hellish nightmares to face the reality and truth of that night long ago. He aims to go home, and plans to take Alex with him…as his wife.
Dimitri Yurogov is the Russian KGB-trained bodyguard of the reclusive billionaire and best friend to Alex Carson. He would and will do anything for both of the women in his life. Both of the women he loves. Even if it means murdering in their name. And murder is second nature to a man with such boundless talents.
